Hida is a city in Gifu Prefecture, teeming with forests where 70% is hardwood. As a result, woodcraft is deeply rooted in its local culture. The city is rich in biodiversity and the locals maintain a balance with nature to keep its traditions alive for future generations. Alternatively, you can opt for a personalized box wherein you can engrave a name using a laser cutter that will only take 30 minutes. After the workshop, you can indulge in their signature hayashi (hashed beef) rice or mouth-watering bagel set to satisfy your bellies.
